EditorConfig Support

#1

EditorConfig is a very convenient way to define and maintain consistent coding styles between different editors on a project basis.

Any plans to support it?

I’m betting that this is doable via packages (because almost everything is a package anyway), so everyone can add support for it.

#3

I’d suggest you to ping Sindre Sorhus for this (though I bet he is already working on it ;))

#4

@adonisk hah, I am :slight_smile:

#5

@sindresorhus plugin doesn’t seem to work well for a lot of people, including me: https://github.com/sindresorhus/atom-editorconfig/issues/34

#6

Thanks a bunch for the package, @sindresorhus! Do you think there’s a chance for the Atom core to adopt your code at some point? Having to install an additional package feels contradictory to the nature of .editorconfig which is all about enforcing minimal standards.

Not really up to me. I would be fine with deprecating my plugin in favor of built-in support, though.
