Disable show a line end

#1

How I can disable line end? In settings I have enable “Show Invisibles”, but I can view only space and tabs in code.

#2

I’m not sure I completely understand what you want to achieve. Do you want to display or to hide the line-end markers?

#3

@abe hide line-end markers.

#4

Quoting @izuzak from https://github.com/atom/atom/issues/2874#issuecomment-48450789

There’s a configuration hash you can use for this, editor.invisibles, described here:

https://atom.io/docs/latest/customizing-atom#configuration-key-reference

So, this should give you what you want:

'editor':
  'invisibles':
    'cr': ''
    'eol': ''

Hope this helps.

#5

That is perfect. Thank you!

#6

This recipe is not working anymore. I have Atom 1.0.11 and every time I start Atom, it recognizes the empty string and deletes those config lines.

Any other way to enforce that behavior?

#7

Put a blank space in them.

#8

Then the character selected for drawing white-spaces is drawn instead. It doesn’t solve the issue.

#9

Actually, it does because this is the solution I use:

  editor:
    invisibles:
      eol: " "
      cr: "↩"
      tab: "⇥"
    showInvisibles: true

Unless there is some behavior difference between eol and cr?
