Create key binding for backspace (deletion)

#1

For reasons, I am comfortable with deleting characters with <Ctrl-;>, so I tried

'atom-text-editor.vim-mode:insert-mode':
  'ctrl-;': 'core:backspace'

(I am using vim-mode)

But when I press <Ctrl-;>, nothing happens. What should I do?

Thanks.

BTW, I’ve tried other bindings to this combination of keys under this selector and they work.

Have you tried using the Keybinding Resolver (Cmd+. on OS X and Ctrl+. on other platforms)? It will show you what key Atom saw you press and the command that was triggered because of it.
