Create a Mac distribution

#1

Hi all,

I’m trying to create a distribution for Mac, but I don’t understand the instructions as written here: https://github.com/atom/electron/blob/master/docs/tutorial/application-distribution.md

The instructions say:

To distribute your app with Electron, the folder containing your app should be named app and placed under Electron’s resources directory (on OS X it is Electron.app/Contents/Resources/

But where can I find this Electron.app? I checked /Applications, I checked my project, but I cannot find it.

Thanks, Erik

You can find it on the releases page https://github.com/atom/electron/releases (e.g. electron-v0.36.0-darwin-x64.zip). There is also electron-packager if you want to automate packaging.

I found electron-packager interactive to be a bit more foolproof.
