Can't style minimap, no idea why, following their instructions :/

#1

So current minimap instructions say to put this in my style.less file…

atom-text-editor atom-text-editor-minimap .minimap-visible-area::after {

background-color: rgba(0, 255, 0, 0.5);
}

But nothing happens when I do…

Tried restarting, tried appending !important. Using Atom 1.12.6 on Kubuntu(64). Anyone got any ideas? Also, generally, ought styles be applied to plugins as soon as they are saved?

The styles included in the minimap README are quite a bit more complex than the ones you’re showing in your screenshot. Specifically, I notice that you’re not using the ::shadow pseudo-selector anywhere, which would be required until Atom v1.13, which is currently still in Beta.

The instructions actually say to use

atom-text-editor atom-text-editor-minimap::shadow .minimap-visible-area::after,
atom-text-editor::shadow atom-text-editor-minimap::shadow .minimap-visible-area::after {
  background-color: rgba(0, 255, 0, 0.5);
}

Wow that’s quite a mouthful! Google must have fed me some outdated docs yesterday then coz this was what I saw…

Thanks for the speedy help!
