Build Electron app for ARM

#1

I would like to build an application specifically targeting a Raspberry pi 2. Is it possible? If it is, how could I go about doing it?

I naively tried: electron-packager ./ MyApp --platform=linux --arch=ARM --version=0.28.1 but no luck.

There’s a prebuilt binary here…

Look for the zip named “electron-v0.29.2-linux-arm.zip”

I’ve run this on a pi2 successfully, but not much past that.

Cheers

#3

hi, sorry im newbie here… If already download electron-v1.3.3-linux-arm.zip , need to download electron-v1.3.3-linux-arm-symbols.zip ?

Then how to compile with that ? can u explain how to compile for raspberry

sorry, and thanx so much

Not necessarily. The symbols downloads are for Breakpad and you probably don’t need them unless you’re doing major debugging.

It’s already compiled. All you need to do is write the app for it to display.

yah, im already write my apps… I mean… Like compile use electron-packager … If use that only run my apps but not compile my apps to raspi arch…

You might have to do it manually.
