Bracket Matcher and multi-line HTML elements

#1

Hi all,

Hope this is the right place to ask this. For HTML elements, the bracket matcher works fine with something like this:

`

blah
`

where it will highlight from the end > to the beginning <. Exactly like you’d expect

If I were to change to something like

<div attribute="value" attribute="value"> blah </blah>

then put my cursor on the <div and do the select in brackets, it will highlight the two attribute="value" lines, along with the blah, up to the < on the closing div tag. Is there a setting or a different plugin that will make it act more like it does when the opening tag is on a single line if my cursor is anywhere within that opening tag?

Sorry I’m new here and I can’t figure out how to edit my original post.

the first example should look like

<div attribute="value">
  blah
</div>

and the second example should look like

<div attribute="value"
    attribute="value"
    attribute="value">
  blah
</div>
