Bracket block highlighting

#1

Hello,
I like how Notepad++ has notations to help you see brackets of code blocks. Like the red vertical line here:

brackets

I’ve seen a couple of Atom screen shots that have this - but I haven’t found a package or a config setting that does this. Anyone know?

I use indent-guide-improved.

I very much like your suggestion!

A proposal for the colouring of the guides:

//light theme
.theme() when (luma(@syntax-background-color) > 50%) {
  background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);
  &.indent-guide-stack {
    background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);
    &.indent-guide-active {
      width: 2px;
      background-color: rgba(253, 73, 73, 0.45);
    }
  }
}

//dark theme
.theme() when (default()) {
  background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
  &.indent-guide-stack {
    background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
    &.indent-guide-active {
      width: 2px;
      background-color: rgba(0, 255, 0, 0.45);
    }
  }
}

.indent-guide-improved {
  .theme();
}

Note that this adapts between two colour schemes depending what the background colour is (dark vs bright).
