Beginner question - How do I get Python to run in Atom? [Resolved]

#1

I apologize in advance if this is a question has been answered before, but from what I’ve seen I haven’t been able to figure it out. I’m trying to get my Python code to run within Atom using the package “Script”, but it hasn’t been working. When I try to run the program, I get the error “‘python’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file”. I have downloaded Python, it is in C:\Python34, do I need to do anything further to get Atom to recognize it? Does Python 3 work in Atom?
Thank you

Python is probably not in your PATH. In the installer, you have to check the option to add it automatically. Otherwise, you can add it manually.

That was exactly it! I didn’t realize that Python doesn’t automatically go in the PATH as well. Thank you very much
