Auto-detect shell script based on header #$


Is there a way to make Atom auto-detect my script as shell script when it starts as:

#$ -S /bin/bash

Is there any reason whyyou don’t use the standard shebang for shell scripts (#!/bin/bash)? I’m asking, because if they did, you could simply use this package:


Thanks for answering. The reason is that “#$” is part of the sun grid engine (SGE) header which is then followed by shell scripting. When I reopen my scripts they always set back to “plain” text, which compromises readability.
