Atom Virtual Environment (isolation)?

#1

Is there any concept or project working to develop an Atom Virtual Environment or similar form of isolation ?
The idea is to allow different “workspaces”, avoiding conflicts, keeping streamlined sets of packages. (perf)
Even better if it is possible to have concurrent installs or sets running!

Does this make sense?

There are several Docker images for Atom, one of the oldest and most widely referenced is the one by James Netherton

Suggesting an alternative that I use myself ->
Make a “portable” installation:
Flight Manual: Portable Installation

Be warned, it is a resource hungry option, but each “portable” installation can run as an entity of its own. It can be installed on your PC’s main drive, if you wish to do so.

Cheers.
