Atom Tree View Selection (bug?)

#1

Currently using Atom Version 0.188.0 (0.188.0)

While in tree view, if you have a file open, and then you right click a different file and do something with it (e.g. delete in my case, found out the hard way) and it can delete the active file that is being used, in addition to the one that was selected.

Sorry if the description of what’s going on is strange, I’m not 100% sure how to describe it. Let me know if I can clarify anything, and/or if anyone else is having the same type of issue.

Maybe you can record a gif screencast and post it here so that we can see what you’re talking about?

I did this:

  • In ~/tmp create two files file-foo and file-bar.
  • atom ~/tmp
  • Double-click file-foo in the tree view so it shows up as a tab
  • Right-click file-bar in the tree view and delete it

file-foo was not deleted. You say that it “can” happen – are you saying it happens only when the moon is full, or only if the directory name has a prime number of e characters in it, or something like this?

There are open bugs related to right-clicking on the tree-view:
