Atom not starting on Red Hat Enterprise 6.7

#1

First off, let me say, I’m a noob when it comes to Linux ;). I’m working with Atom on my Windows PC and my Mac and it works great. Now I want to install it on my work laptop which runs Red Hat Enterprise 6.7 (Santiago).

I downloaded the .rpm package and installed it without any error message, but when I try to start it, it will show the taskbar button for the application for a few seconds and then it will simply close. No error message, nothing :frowning: . Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?
