Atom is slow as compared to Sublime

Atom is slow as compared to Sublime → I have switched from Sublime to Atom, but Atom is slow on my m/c, and there is a same opinion from many of my colleagues.

When I say slow that means when I open it for the 1st time on my m/c or open a new window or click save to save a new file that I have created.

I am a Window 7 Home Edition User.

As @braver, however rudely, pointed out, this is a well-worn topic and a duplicate of the previous one linked above. We like to unify similar discussions under one topic so that people don’t have to read a bunch of different threads to get the whole story. Please continue the discussion there. I’ll be closing this topic as duplicate.

You may want to refer to my response on that topic pointing that Atom has different design goals than Sublime Text which means different tradeoffs and why some of us find the speed difference acceptable:
