Currently the main Atom shortcut on Windows targets to Update.exe with argument of “–processStart atom.exe” to start up the editor.
My problem is that in some programs such as Visual Studio I want to make Atom as default editor. Programs like Visual Studio don’t pass arguments (easily) to the Update.exe from shortcuts. Therefore it only executes the update process then console gets closed.
Although I found the pure atom.exe under app-..* folder, I have to manually reset the location as the folder name changes when Atom updates.
Can we have the latest atom.exe under the same directory as Update.exe?
or, change the way to launch editor without Update.exe because we can do it inside the editor?
