Atom disappeares on Windows 10 64 bit when being idle

When working with other programs after using atom, it “disappears” after a while, when I start it again, no data is lost.
With 1.26 I did not have this problem, but with 1.27 and 1.28 I do.
On Linux this does not happen.
I see no mentioning of this on this forum by ohters

Atom crash just open all the time

That’s weird and I’ve never seen it happen before. Is there a certain period of time Atom takes before it vanishes?

Not as far as I experienced, but I’ll try to monitor it better, to give some feedback

Hard to monitor, sometimes it stops quickly, sometimes after 1 or 2 hours.
Today it started crashing at start a couple of times.
I removed atom and the .atom directory and reinstalled it (1.28.0), but also crashed after a while and I did not install any packages yet.
Just installed 1.28.1, I hope this will keep running.

Good luck.

Thanks, unfortunately this (version 1.28.1) does not change much.
First time today crash after about an hour, second crash after 9 minutes
“Atom has stopped working
A problem caused by the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available”

I now see a simular discusion: Atom crash just open all the time

Atom seems to be stable the last couple of days, it has been updated automatically to 1.28.2, I notice.
I also installed a couple of day ago node.js 8.11.1, or is the one atom uses integrated in the build?
I don’t now when 1.28.2 was released, nothing in the blog and I can’t find it in github.

@danPadric Thanks!
