Atom app license is not MIT

vscode has FAQ, Atom doesn’t a comparable equivalent. ditto for Github desktop. anyone got an idea?

the link on Atom site says

By downloading, you agree to the [Terms and Conditions]

and leads to
https://help.github.com/en/github/site-policy/github-open-source-applications-terms-and-conditions
? because of Github logos, I presume. license is not MIT, so atom FAQ is misleading on this topic.

maybe have a https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/supporting/FAQ for Atom. and check it for the related Github Desktop app.

there should be an issue for this somewhere already. The one I saw wasn’t relevant.

I will now take a permanent break from Atom’s discourse instance and its subtly productive features.

do reach out to me if you want advice on deciding if you want to use Atom.

thanks.
