Atom 1.32 Syntax Highlighting is Wrong

Just updated to 1.32 and all of the syntax highlighting is messed up. For instance, in JS, functions and methods all carry the same color as strings. In the attached screenshot, the scope at the cursor (at this) is the root scope for JS, when it should be something like constant. HTML also has some funky scopes. Like the opening/closing brackets have the text.html.basic source.html scope. I am using a theme/syntax called Gruv Box.

Well I think Ive found a solution. This was an issue with the tree sitter. I unchecked the “Use Tree Sitter Parsers” option in the core setting. Highlighting is back to normal.
