I have a question about delta updates (if that means updating only the application files that have changed, instead of downloading the whole installer on update). The last post about this seems to be here and there is no actual answer to it.
So, is there way today to update the application by updating only those files that have changed since the last version? I’m relatively new with Electron, but the application I’m working on just now have a requirement that updates should be as smallest as possible as the most of the devices would be on cellular data (paid per Mb) and probably with poor network conditions.
So far Electron turned out to be a perfect solution for all our problems, but this auto-update issue might be a deal breaker
Application is Windows only (win 7 required), and we’re using the latest version of Electron and electron-builder.
