In sublime you can suffix any query in the cmd+T file dialog with : or @. Their really handy shortcuts to have and would be awesome to see in Atom!
: opens the file at a specific line number.
@ changes the mode of the dialog to show all the methods/functions/markdown headers in the file and then opens to a specific method/function/markdown header.
Partial file names also work with this which is probably my favourite aspect of this feature, so for example
ap:57 might be enough to open app.coffee line 57 (assuming it was at the top of the list for that
