A disabled and unistalled package won't disapear from my update list

#1

A package that I have both disabled and uninstalled always shows up in my “Available Updates” list (see image below).

Is there any way I can remove this package from this list so I can use the “Update All” button and not have this package try to re-install itself? On top of that I don’t ever remember installing this package in the first place.

I have tried:

  • uninstalling the package (via the GUI and apm)
  • disabling the package
  • deleting the package folder from ~/.atom/packages
  • deleting the package folder from ~/.atom/.apm

My atom version is:

Atom : 1.14.1
Electron: 1.3.13
Chrome : 52.0.2743.82
Node : 6.5.0

Anyone have any ideas?

Atom will display update cards for packages that exist in ~/.atom/packages. If you have:

  1. Shut down Atom
  2. Deleted the directory ~/.atom/packages/test and all of its contents
  3. Launched Atom again

then I know of no way for Atom to show that card.

I can confirm there is no ~/.atom/packages/test folder on my system and that card still shows up on my updates page :frowning:

I can’t find a way to replicate this problem, so if you can debug how this is happening that would be helpful :grinning:
